I always equated documentary family photography with older children.

But then I took photo of a 10-day old.

It's incredible how much is going on, at such a young age!

The facial expressions,
the yawning,
the way the hands move,
tiny peeks into their new world,
the way they naturally mould to their parents.

It's delightful. And beautiful.

In this moment when everything is so new - and yet so fleeting - it's wonderful to capture these moments for parents.

On a side note - I took a Macro lens to this shoot. It was on a ten-day trial and didn't go back.
