A ‘normal’ weekend day

Family brunch, feeding pets, playing with toys, going to the playground...

In other words an absolutely normal weekend day.

But in the blink of an eye,
the son will soon

sit in a different chair
play with different toys
be running instead of learning to walk
like new adventures in the playground, and
maybe have his own guitar.

So while today feels so ordinary - it’s instead a fleeting part of the extraordinary.
