FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any other questions.

How do you describe this style of photography?

Modern. Authentic. Natural. It's a documentary approach whereby I won't direct you or even use a flash. Everything is as it is. This makes for the best natural photos of you and your children.

How do we receive our photos?

You'll receive your photos via a link to a password protected online gallery. There you’ll be able to download all photos immediately, or if your package includes a selected number of images - you can then choose your favourites from a larger number of watermarked images.

After the photo session it can take up to 4 weeks to finalise your gallery - but I do my best to finish your edit as soon as possible - especially with Newborn sessions.

Can we select extra images from our Gallery?

Yes - if you would like additional images from your gallery, over and above your selected number, this is possible. The cost is: EUR 10 per additional photo or EUR 150 for the Full Gallery.

Can you help us with prints and albums?

Absolutely - I love printed images and albums. Please let me know if this is something I can help with and I can send you further information.

Please note there is no obligation to make any extra purchases after the session and no hidden costs.

What if the kids are sick on the day?

No problem at all. This is a normal part of family life and we can simply reschedule.

Isn’t the camera intrusive?

I shoot with mirrorless cameras on silent mode whenever the light allows (i.e. no paparazzi clicking sound in the background). This helps me to be minimally distracting (apart from my obvious presence)!  Some children are very quickly relaxed, and forget I'm there, and others take some time to get used to me. I read the situation as best I can and make sure everyone is always comfortable.

What should we wear?

Wear what you are comfortable in, and the kids are happy in. They should feel like it is just another day. The one piece of advice I have in this area (as long as it doesn’t cause any tears) is to avoid clothes with words and/or phrases on them, or thin stripes. This is because our eyes are naturally inclined to focus on letters - and this can ultimately cause a distraction in your final images (and the thin stripes can play havoc with any camera sensor).

Will our apartment be suitable?

Yes! It is your home, and an important part of your shared memories so is therefore an ideal setting for our photo session.

What if the kids aren’t well-behaved?

You mean that they are simply being normal children?  All behaviour is temporary, so it will pass. On a personal note, I have had some parents worry about how well-behaved their children will be and how tidy their homes are. Coming from a large family, I appreciate how fun, chaos and mess, sometimes form the backdrop of family life (and also provides for some great images and memories)!
